Stellar Science is a growing Albuquerque-based scientific software development company with a 19 year history of developing custom software products for government and defense customers. Stellar Science Headquarters is located in Albuquerque and supports a geographically distributed staff and customers in multiple locations across the U.S.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, energetic person to establish and grow this new role in our company. You will be taking on responsibilities that are currently spread across multiple employees in the company and coordinating with a team of employees that are involved in various aspects of our hiring process.

We have had a 20% growth rate over the life of the company and now with 70 employees, managing our recruiting activities has turned into a full time job. You will be working in our Albuquerque office and will be responsible for all aspects of recruiting and hiring.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Managing the candidate application process
    • Drafting and posting jobs
    • Maintaining the applicant tracking system
    • Collecting process statistics
    • Leading the interview process
    • Coordinating candidate interviews
    • Making travel arrangement for candidates
  • Increasing applicant pool.
    • Active and passive applicant searching
    • Reviewing resumes for critical skills
    • Identify, evaluate and improving key metrics
  • Supporting the Intern program
    • Developing relationships with Universities
    • Coordinating/attending career fairs
    • Assisting with on-boarding
  • Administrative support
    • Assist with EEO program
    • Other duties as required
  • This is a critical position at Stellar. Our employees are our most valued asset. We spend a lot of energy finding Stellar team members. You will be representing Stellar Science to many outside organizations and will be working with several different employees that are involved in our hiring process, so an outgoing, postive personality and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education
    • College graduate with at least one year of work experience, or
    • High School graduate with at least six years of work experience
  • Relevant recruiting experience
    • Experience with applicant management systems (JazzHR or equivalent).
    • Searching for applicants in online databases (StackOverflow, LinkedIn, Indeed)
  • Experience with business software
    • Creating and editing documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Email programs such as Outlook or Thunderbird
    • Web-based programs such as Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs
    • Scanning and uploading documents
    • Computer document filing or version control systems
